My Story

A few years back my husband and I returned from having set up and operating the Livingstone Performing Arts Foundation in Livingstone, Zambia. This was an exceptional experience filled with unforgettable stories of warm and talented people in which we learned something new everyday. (Please feel free to ask me about my travel stories.)

When we returned I had an opportunity to start a new career. I began by just dipping my toes into the water of Georgian College's Graphic Design Program. It didn't take long to become completely enamoured with the program, the professors, those shapely little letters, the wonderfully clever design solutions (sometimes), and all of the crazy new ways in which people can communicate their interests.

Going back to school as a grandmother of 5 (feel free to ask me about my grandchildren) was more than a bit unnerving but it turns out that embracing change is a process of letting go of fear (I think I read that some place).

Now to the future: I look forward to the challenges and changes to come as a freelance designer. I intend to be inspired by the work of my classmates and do a bit of inspiring myself. I intend to work on some very cool projects with my husband using my newly acquired skills (which I will post as soon as they are launched), and I intend to spend lots of time with my grandchildren.

Thanks for tuning in here. Please enjoy my portfolio and let me know if there are any projects on which you would like to work together.
